Field Sampling Procedures For Photo Series - Natural Stands


Indicate stand type of interest.

Pick a plot location within the stand that is representative of average stand conditions.

Permanently mark the plot in the field by means of a metal or plastic plot tag and note the location within the plot on a map. It may be necessary to put in a tie point and tie the line from some nearby and easily-relocateable feature.

Establish plot - a 30 m-per side triangle (390 m2).
