Shana

Once the Informed Filler is installed, you can open the 117b template by clicking on the following link and choosing "open":

http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/isb/forms/lib/FS117B.itr

If the link does not work, open the template from the Informed Filler:

  1. In Informed Filler, click on File then choose New Document from the list
  2. Click on the dropbox next to Local Templates and choose Services from the list
  3. Double click on BC MOF Forms
  4. Select FSdocs/117b.itp and click New

Microsoft Word

The Shana version of this form is the preferred method, but there is now a Microsoft Word template available. Right click here and choose Save target as... to download, and save the template to your templates folder*.
* To determine where your templates folder is in Microsoft Word, choose Tools > Options from the menu and click on File Locations to view the user or group templates location. If the path is not visible, you can click Modify to display the full path.

If you wish, you can rename the file at this point to something other than FS117b. For example, you might call it "Burn Plan.doc".

Once this file is saved in your templates folder, you can create a new Burn Plan from Microsoft Word by choosing File > New > FS117b (or whatever you renamed it to).

A note about macros: This form uses macros to calculate fire complexity, so it will not function if your macro security it set to "high". To check your security level in Microsoft Word, select Tools > Macro > Security. Changing the level to medium will allow you to accept macros on the current document.
Do not change your security level without first talking to your office systems contact, and never run macros on a document unless you trust the source.

PDF (Print and Fill)

The Shana version of this form is the preferred method, but for applicants who prefer to fill out a form by hand, there is a printable PDF file. Note that this is a 22-page document, but not all pages may be necessary. See the form help for instructions.

Schedules

All mandatory and optional schedules are included in the above templates, but for your convenience, some of the schedules are also available to print separately:

Schedule 2 - Prescribed Fire Complexity Rating Guide
Schedule 3 - Organization Chart
Schedule 11 - Go/No-go Checklist
